While I was stationed at Keesler AFB, Ms., in 1973, this local smuggler
tried to fly in a load of catfish from Central America in a DC-4 to cash in
on a local catfish shortage. He'd done it before, but this time customs was
waiting for him with open handcuffs. The ice melted, the fish rotted, and
reportedly even the plane was written off...
